Responsibilities

  • Process bi-weekly and monthly payroll for over 200 employees accurately and on schedule using ADP Workforce Now.
  • Ensure full compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations, including FLSA and tax laws.
  • Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies, garnishments, and deductions promptly.
  • Prepare and file quarterly and annual federal and state payroll tax reports.
  • Collaborate with the HR team to update employee records, change status, and process new hire paperwork.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to employees regarding pay inquiries, tax statements, and compensation questions.
  • Assist in the annual audit process and maintain payroll documentation.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of progressive experience in Payroll Administration or a related Accounting field.
  • Strong working knowledge of payroll tax regulations, including California-specific labor laws.
  • Proficiency in payroll software (ADP, Paylocity, or similar) and Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to maintain data integrity under tight deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to handle sensitive employee inquiries.
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Human Resources is preferred.
