Responsibilities
- Process bi-weekly and monthly payroll for over 200 employees accurately and on schedule using ADP Workforce Now.
- Ensure full compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations, including FLSA and tax laws.
- Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies, garnishments, and deductions promptly.
- Prepare and file quarterly and annual federal and state payroll tax reports.
- Collaborate with the HR team to update employee records, change status, and process new hire paperwork.
- Provide exceptional customer service to employees regarding pay inquiries, tax statements, and compensation questions.
- Assist in the annual audit process and maintain payroll documentation.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2-3 years of progressive experience in Payroll Administration or a related Accounting field.
- Strong working knowledge of payroll tax regulations, including California-specific labor laws.
- Proficiency in payroll software (ADP, Paylocity, or similar) and Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to maintain data integrity under tight deadlines.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to handle sensitive employee inquiries.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Human Resources is preferred.
- CPA or CPP certification is a plus.
