Responsibilities

  • Process weekly and bi-weekly payroll for over 200 employees using ADP Workforce Now and QuickBooks.
  • Calculate and verify timekeeping data, ensuring accuracy in hours worked, overtime, and pay rates.
  • Prepare and reconcile payroll tax reports, including federal and state W-2s, 941s, and state unemployment filings.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date payroll records, employee files, and tax documentation.
  • Assist in the reconciliation of payroll bank accounts and prepare journal entries for payroll expenses.
  • Answer payroll-related inquiries from employees promptly and professionally.
  • Collaborate with HR to resolve discrepancies in time-off requests and compensation adjustments.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration, or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in payroll processing, preferably in a mid-sized environment.
  • Proficiency with payroll software (ADP, Paylocity, or QuickBooks) is required.
  • Strong working knowledge of FLSA regulations, state payroll tax laws, and benefits administration.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, and conditional formatting).
