Responsibilities
- Calculate and process payroll for a diverse workforce, ensuring accurate deductions for taxes, benefits, and garnishments.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of employee records and financial data in compliance with state privacy laws.
- Reconcile payroll discrepancies and resolve payroll-related inquiries from employees and management.
- Prepare and file necessary payroll tax reports (W-2s, 1099s) with state and federal authorities on a timely basis.
- Assist with year-end payroll processing and internal tax audits.
- Update and maintain employee timekeeping records and leave balances within the HRIS system.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in payroll processing or a similar finance role.
- Proficiency with payroll software (ADP, Workday, or Paychex) is highly preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of FLSA, ACA, and Minnesota state payroll laws.
- Advanced Excel skills, including VLOOKUP and pivot tables.
- Exceptional attention to detail and high-level organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
