Responsibilities
- Account Reconciliation: Perform daily reconciliation of bank statements, credit card accounts, and general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy.
- Financial Data Entry: Process accounts payable and receivable transactions, including invoices and bill payments, with a focus on error-free data entry during night hours.
- Reporting: Prepare monthly financial reports, balance sheets, and profit & loss statements for management review.
- Payroll Support: Assist with payroll processing and ensure compliance with federal and state tax regulations.
- Asset Management: Maintain fixed asset registers and track inventory discrepancies.
- Compliance: Ensure all financial documentation is organized, stored securely, and compliant with internal policies.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of professional bookkeeping or accounting experience.
- Availability: Must be available to work night shifts (e.g., 7:00 PM – 3:00 AM).
- Software Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks, Excel (advanced functions), and Xero.
- Education: Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred; High School diploma required.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to spot discrepancies in financial data.
- Communication: Ability to communicate effectively with the finance team and management.
