Responsibilities
- End-of-Day Processing: Execute daily bank reconciliations, verify transactions, and post entries to the General Ledger (GL) with zero errors.
- Accounts Payable/Receivable: Manage incoming invoices, process payments, and send statements to clients and vendors.
- Payroll Administration: Assist in the night shift payroll processing, ensuring accurate time tracking and tax withholdings.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and generate daily or weekly financial reports to provide management with real-time insights into cash flow and financial health.
- Compliance & Audit: Maintain organized financial records and ensure compliance with GAAP and internal control policies.
- Software Management: Utilize accounting software to troubleshoot discrepancies and maintain data integrity during the closing process.
Qualifications
- Experience: 1-3 years of professional bookkeeping or accounting experience, preferably in a high-volume environment.
- Availability: Must be available to work night shifts (e.g., 10:00 PM - 6:30 AM) on a consistent basis.
- Software Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks Online, Xero, or NetSuite.
- Education: Associate degree or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional organizational skills with a focus on accuracy and data integrity.
- Communication: Ability to communicate effectively with team members and management during night operations.
