Job Description
We are looking for a meticulous and detail-oriented Payroll Clerk to join our finance team in Long Beach, CA. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of payroll for a diverse workforce, ensuring full compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

Responsibilities
- Process weekly and bi-weekly payroll for over 200 employees using ADP Workforce Now.
- Verify and enter employee timecards, leave balances, and garnishment information accurately.
- Calculate and process payroll taxes, deductions, and benefits contributions.
- Maintain and organize payroll records, tax forms (W-2s, 1099s), and audit trails.
- Prepare and distribute payroll reports to management and HR departments.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding pay stubs, tax documents, and payroll discrepancies.
- Assist in year-end payroll tax filings and compliance audits.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in payroll processing or a related finance role.
- Proficiency in payroll software (ADP, Paychex, or QuickBooks) is required.
- Strong working knowledge of FLSA, FICA, and California labor laws.
- Excellent mathematical skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
