Responsibilities
- Process Payroll: Accurately calculate and process weekly and bi-weekly payroll using ADP or similar software.
- Compliance Management: Ensure all payroll tax filings, garnishments, and deductions are processed according to local and federal laws.
- Record Maintenance: Maintain and organize employee payroll records, timesheets, and payroll reports.
- Issue Resolution: Serve as the primary point of contact for employee payroll inquiries and resolve discrepancies efficiently.
- Reconciliation: Reconcile payroll bank accounts and prepare month-end payroll adjustments.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline payroll processes and improve efficiency.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in payroll processing or a related financial role.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in payroll software (e.g., ADP, Workday) and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of FLSA, FICA, and state-specific wage laws.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional accuracy and ability to handle sensitive financial data with discretion.
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills for interacting with staff and management.
