Responsibilities

  • Process bi-weekly payroll for all employees using ADP and internal payroll software, ensuring 100% accuracy.
  • Verify timecards, approve leave requests, and calculate gross pay, deductions, and net pay according to company policies.
  • Ensure all payroll data is compliant with federal and state tax regulations, including FLSA and local labor laws.
  • Respond to and resolve employee payroll inquiries regarding pay stubs, direct deposits, tax documents, and garnishments.
  • Prepare and distribute payroll tax reports, W-2s, and 1099s to appropriate agencies and employees.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes related to payroll adjustments and accruals.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential payroll files and documentation.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred.
  • 1-3 years of hands-on experience in payroll processing or a related administrative role.
  • Proficiency with payroll software (e.g., ADP Workforce Now, Paychex, QuickBooks Payroll).
  • Strong working knowledge of federal and state payroll tax laws and reporting requirements.
  • Excellent mathematical skills with a high degree of attention to detail and error prevention.
