Responsibilities
- Process bi-weekly payroll using ADP and QuickBooks with 100% accuracy
- Calculate and maintain garnishments, bonuses, commissions, and overtime
- Ensure compliance with FLSA, Maryland wage laws, and IRS regulations
- Reconcile payroll accounts and resolve discrepancies within 24 hours
- Prepare and submit quarterly tax filings and year-end W-2s
- Respond to employee payroll inquiries with professionalism and discretion
- Collaborate with HR and accounting teams during audits and implementations
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Accounting or Business Administration (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of payroll processing experience using ADP/QuickBooks
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel with advanced formula knowledge
- Strong understanding of multi-state payroll tax regulations
- Proven track record of meeting tight payroll deadlines
- PHR or CPP certification preferred
- Exceptional attention to detail and confidentiality skills
