Responsibilities
- Prepare and file individual, business, and fiduciary tax returns
- Conduct tax planning consultations to optimize client outcomes
- Ensure compliance with IRS and Nevada state tax regulations
- Utilize Lacerte and ProSeries tax software for efficient processing
- Research and resolve complex tax issues through authoritative sources
- Maintain accurate client documentation and electronic filing systems
- Collaborate with senior tax professionals on complex cases
- Represent clients during IRS correspondence and audits
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Accounting or Finance (Bachelor's preferred)
- 1+ years of tax preparation experience
- Active PTIN and valid Nevada Preparer Tax Identification Number
- Proficiency in tax preparation software (Lacerte, ProSeries, or TurboTax)
- Strong knowledge of federal and Nevada tax codes
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Exceptional attention to detail with 100% accuracy
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
