Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting processes including AP/AR, bank reconciliations, and month-end closings
- Prepare and analyze financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheets, Cash Flow) for 15+ clients
- Maintain accurate QuickBooks databases with custom chart of accounts setup
- Process payroll and tax filings using ADP and QuickBooks Payroll
- Conduct internal audits and implement financial controls for compliance
- Support budget forecasting and variance analysis for seasonal businesses
- Train clients on accounting software best practices and financial reporting
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance with 3+ years of experience
- Advanced QuickBooks Desktop and Online certification required
- Expertise in multi-state tax compliance (VA, MD, NC) and sales tax filing
- Proficient in Excel with advanced functions (VLOOKUP, PivotTables)
- CPA or CPA candidate preferred; will consider candidates with significant QuickBooks specialization
- Experience with construction, retail, or hospitality accounting a plus
- Exceptional communication skills for client training and presentations
- Ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment
