Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle bookkeeping for 8-12 portfolio companies using QuickBooks Online
- Prepare monthly financial statements and variance analysis reports
- Coordinate quarterly tax filings and year-end audits with external partners
- Implement and maintain internal controls for SOX compliance
- Lead month-end closing processes and reconciliations
- Develop customized financial models for client fundraising rounds
- Mentor junior staff on accounting best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance with CPA preferred
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Expertise in GAAP and SaaS revenue recognition standards
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and financial reporting tools
- Experience with fintech or startup accounting environments
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication and client management abilities
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
