Responsibilities
- Manage daily bookkeeping operations, including accounts payable and receivable.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts monthly to ensure accuracy.
- Process payroll for multiple clients with a focus on compliance and timely payments.
- Prepare and send invoices, and follow up on outstanding payments.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures and financial reporting.
- Maintain organized digital and physical filing systems for client documents.
- Communicate with clients regarding their financial status and provide basic financial insights.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage preferred).
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, formulas).
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to spot errors in financial data.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks in a remote environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
