Responsibilities
- Process bi-weekly payroll for 50+ employees using ADP Workforce Now
- Calculate and garnish wages for deductions, benefits, and tax withholdings
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations (CA labor laws)
- Reconcile payroll discrepancies and resolve employee payment inquiries
- Generate payroll reports for management and external auditors
- Maintain confidential employee records and payroll documentation
- Collaborate with HR department on new hire onboarding and terminations
Qualifications
- 3+ years of payroll processing experience (ADP proficiency required)
- Deep knowledge of California payroll regulations and tax codes
- Associate's degree in Accounting/Business or equivalent experience
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and payroll software
- Excellent problem-solving and attention-to-detail skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Proven track record of meeting tight payroll deadlines
- Professional certification (CPP/FPC) strongly preferred
