Responsibilities
- Financial Assessment: Review and analyze loan applications, financial statements, and credit reports to evaluate borrower risk.
- Decision Making: Provide credit scoring recommendations and approve or deny credit requests based on established company policies and guidelines.
- Data Entry: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all credit files, applications, and approval statuses within our CRM system.
- Compliance: Ensure all credit analysis processes comply with federal and state banking regulations and internal audit standards.
- Client Communication: Clearly communicate credit decisions and loan terms to clients and internal loan officers.
- Market Analysis: Monitor economic trends and industry data to inform credit policies and lending strategies.
Qualifications
- Education: Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field is required.
- Experience: 1-2 years of experience in credit analysis, underwriting, or a related financial role.
- Skills: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP) and data analysis tools.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional ability to spot discrepancies in financial data and maintain high accuracy.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with diverse clients and teams.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Understanding of credit risk assessment principles and lending regulations is a plus.
