Responsibilities
- Analyze financial statements, credit reports, and market data to assess applicant creditworthiness
- Prepare comprehensive credit memos and risk assessment reports for senior review
- Monitor existing portfolios for compliance with credit policies and regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with loan officers to structure optimal credit solutions
- Identify trends in credit risk and recommend process improvements
- Document all credit decisions with meticulous attention to detail
- Stay current with industry regulations and best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration
- 2+ years of credit analysis or underwriting experience
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial modeling tools
- Strong understanding of credit scoring models and risk assessment frameworks
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Effective communication skills for explaining complex financial concepts
- Credit certification (CRCM, CCE) or equivalent preferred
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
