Responsibilities
- Manage Accounts Payable & Receivable: Process invoices, verify vendor data, and ensure timely payments while managing incoming customer payments and credit.
- Reconciliation: Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations to ensure financial records match actual bank statements.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and maintain accurate general ledger entries, balance sheets, and profit and loss statements.
- Payroll Assistance: Support the payroll process by collecting time sheets and preparing payroll reports.
- Record Keeping: Organize and maintain financial files, receipts, and other necessary documentation.
- Compliance: Assist in preparing year-end tax documents and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
Qualifications
- Education: Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or a similar role.
- Software Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks (Desktop or Online) and Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional ability to spot errors and maintain high levels of accuracy in data entry.
- Schedule: Must be available to work part-time hours (20-25 hours per week) on a consistent schedule.
- Communication: Professional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact with clients and vendors.
