Responsibilities
- Manage daily financial transactions, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Reconcile bank statements, credit card accounts, and general ledger accounts monthly.
- Process invoices, ensure timely payments, and track outstanding debts.
- Assist with month-end and year-end close procedures.
- Prepare and maintain financial reports, such as balance sheets and profit & loss statements.
- Maintain organized digital and physical filing systems for all financial documents.
- Assist with tax preparation and other ad-hoc accounting tasks as needed.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of professional bookkeeping experience.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) is essential.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros).
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
