Responsibilities
- Manage Accounts: Process daily accounts payable and receivable transactions with high accuracy.
- Bank Reconciliation: Perform monthly bank reconciliations to ensure all records match and identify discrepancies.
- Financial Reporting: Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports for management review.
- Payroll Support: Support the payroll process by gathering necessary timesheets and data for bi-weekly or monthly processing.
- General Ledger: Maintain the general ledger by recording transactions and ensuring proper account classifications.
- Compliance: Ensure all financial activities comply with local and federal regulations.
- Communication: Liaise with vendors and clients regarding invoices and payment status.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or a related financial role.
- Software Proficiency: Proficient in QuickBooks, Xero, or similar accounting software; advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) are a must.
- Attention to Detail: Strong ability to spot errors and manage large volumes of data with precision.
- Time Management: Ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a part-time, remote-capable, or hybrid setting.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Integrity: Demonstrated ability to handle confidential financial information with discretion.
