Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day financial transactions, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.
- Prepare and send invoices to clients and ensure timely payment collection.
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports, including balance sheets and profit & loss statements.
- Maintain and organize digital and physical financial records.
- Process payroll for small to medium-sized clients as required.
- Communicate with clients regarding billing inquiries and account status.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED; Associate’s degree or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
- Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar financial role (2+ years preferred).
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and/or Xero accounting software.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
- Experience with Bill.com or similar bill management platforms is a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines and work independently.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
