Job Summary:
The Part-Time Bookkeeper will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and preparing reports. This is an excellent opportunity for someone seeking a stable role in the finance sector.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily financial transactions, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts monthly to ensure accuracy.
- Prepare and maintain general ledger accounts and monthly financial reports.
- Assist with payroll processing and tax document preparation.
- Monitor accounts payable aging and follow up on outstanding invoices.
- Ensure compliance with internal financial policies and procedures.
- Assist with year-end closing activities and audits.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar finance role (1-3 years preferred).
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage accounting software.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP).
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines and work independently with minimal supervision.
