The Role:
The Senior Accountant will oversee our core accounting functions, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting and compliance with regulatory standards. You will be the bridge between our operational teams and financial strategy.
Responsibilities
- Manage the full cycle of general ledger accounting, including month-end and year-end close procedures.
- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow analyses.
- Conduct variance analysis and provide detailed explanations for financial discrepancies to senior management.
- Ensure strict compliance with GAAP, tax laws, and internal control policies.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable operations to ensure timely vendor payments and accurate revenue recognition.
- Assist external auditors during the annual audit process by providing required documentation and explanations.
- Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and improve operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required.
- CPA certification (or CPA candidate) is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate environment.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros) and accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks, SAP).
- Strong understanding of US GAAP and tax regulations.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial data to non-finance stakeholders.
