Responsibilities
- Manage and reconcile monthly bank statements and credit card accounts to ensure accuracy.
- Process accounts payable and receivable transactions, ensuring all invoices are paid on time and all receivables are collected.
- Prepare and maintain general ledger accounts, including monthly trial balances and financial statements.
- Assist with payroll processing for a small team, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Reconcile credit card statements and resolve any discrepancies promptly.
- Prepare and file monthly, quarterly, and annual tax documents as required.
- Assist with annual audits by providing requested documentation and reports.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 3 years of proven experience in bookkeeping or general accounting.
- Proficiency with QuickBooks Online or Xero is required; familiarity with Microsoft Excel (including pivot tables and VLOOKUP) is essential.
- Strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for client and team interaction.
