Responsibilities
- Manage daily bookkeeping operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts monthly to ensure accuracy.
- Assist with the month-end and year-end close processes, including preparing trial balances.
- Prepare and maintain financial reports, such as balance sheets and income statements.
- Process payroll for select clients or employees with high precision.
- Assist with income tax preparation and filing requirements.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations and internal policies.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) and MS Excel.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a part-time capacity.
- CPA certification is a plus but not required.
