Responsibilities
- Manage daily bookkeeping operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Perform bank and credit card reconciliations on a monthly basis.
- Process payroll for a small team of 5-10 employees accurately and timely.
- Assist with the preparation of monthly financial statements and budget reports.
- Maintain the general ledger and ensure all entries are accurate and up-to-date.
- Prepare and file necessary tax forms and local compliance documents.
- Support the finance team with ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting needs.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar financial role.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online or Xero accounting software.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, etc.).
- Deep understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines in a remote or hybrid setting.
