Responsibilities
- Financial Processing: Accurately process daily financial transactions, including accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring all documentation is complete and filed.
- Reconciliation: Perform nightly bank reconciliations, credit card statements, and general ledger variance analysis to maintain financial integrity.
- Reporting: Prepare and post nightly journal entries and generate preliminary financial reports for management review.
- Compliance: Ensure all night shift accounting procedures adhere to internal controls and generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
- Payroll: Assist with the processing of payroll data for the night shift workforce and verify timekeeping records.
- Support: Provide analytical support to the day shift team during month-end and year-end close processes.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA or CMA certification is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience, preferably in a corporate or high-volume environment.
- Software Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, SAP) and Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
- Availability: Must be available to work the full night shift schedule (e.g., 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM) on a consistent basis.
- Skills: Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to collaborate with remote teams.
