We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Part-Time Bookkeeper to join our dynamic finance team in the historic city of Boston, Massachusetts. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring the financial health of our organization while enjoying a flexible work-life balance.
Our ideal candidate is proficient in accounting software and possesses a keen eye for detail. You will manage daily financial transactions, reconcile accounts, and support our senior accountants during peak tax seasons.
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts on a monthly basis.
- Process and track invoices, ensuring accuracy and timely payment.
- Prepare monthly financial reports and balance sheets for management review.
- Assist with year-end tax preparation and general ledger maintenance.
- Maintain accurate digital and physical filing systems for financial documents.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate's degree in Accounting or Finance is a plus.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, Xero, or similar accounting software.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, v-lookups).
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a remote or hybrid setting.
