Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate general ledger accounts and reconcile bank statements monthly
- Process accounts payable/receivable and manage vendor/client communications
- Prepare financial statements (P&L, balance sheets) for client review
- Assist with month-end closing procedures and tax document preparation
- Implement and maintain QuickBooks accounting systems for new clients
- Monitor cash flow and provide financial insights to business owners
Qualifications
- 3+ years of professional bookkeeping experience with QuickBooks Pro/Premier
- Associate's degree in Accounting or Finance (Bachelor's preferred)
- Advanced proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUP, PivotTables) and accounting software
- Certified Bookkeeper (CB) or QuickBooks ProAdvisor certification
- Strong attention to detail with error reconciliation experience
- Ability to manage multiple clients simultaneously with competing deadlines
- Tucson-based candidates with local business network preferred
