Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations and credit card reconciliations with high accuracy.
- Prepare and maintain financial statements, ledgers, and general journal entries.
- Assist with the preparation of quarterly and annual tax filings (1099s, W2s, etc.).
- Process payroll for select clients and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Utilize accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) to track financial data.
- Communicate complex financial information clearly to clients and team members.
Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (CPA certification is a plus).
- Minimum of 2-4 years of professional accounting experience.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks Online/Pro, Xero, or Sage 50) is required.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a part-time capacity.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
