Responsibilities
- Manage and reconcile daily accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, including profit and loss statements.
- Assist with the preparation of quarterly and annual tax filings.
- Perform bank reconciliations and ensure accuracy of general ledger entries.
- Maintain organized financial records and ensure compliance with GAAP standards.
- Provide ad-hoc financial reporting and support for departmental budgeting.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (2+ years of experience strongly preferred).
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero) and Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Strong understanding of GAAP, tax regulations, and financial reporting.
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Current New York residency is required.
