Responsibilities
- Manage daily bookkeeping operations, including accounts payable and receivable.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP.
- Assist with the preparation of federal and state tax returns.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts monthly.
- Process payroll for a small team of employees.
- Perform general ledger duties and account analysis.
- Ensure compliance with local New York state financial regulations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
- 2+ years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage accounting software.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong understanding of GAAP and tax regulations.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
