Responsibilities
- Manage daily bookkeeping operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations and credit card statements to ensure accuracy.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
- Ensure strict compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
- Process payroll for a small team of employees accurately and timely.
- Maintain an organized filing system for both physical and digital documents.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve billing discrepancies promptly.
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
- 2-3 years of accounting experience, preferably in a part-time or freelance capacity.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online, Xero, or Sage Intacct.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, and macros).
- Experience with tax preparation software (e.g., Drake Tax or TurboTax).
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and meet deadlines.
