Responsibilities
- Manage daily bookkeeping tasks, including accounts payable and accounts receivable processing.
- Prepare and maintain accurate monthly financial statements and balance sheets.
- Reconcile bank statements, credit card transactions, and general ledger accounts.
- Assist with the preparation of quarterly and annual tax documents.
- Perform routine audits of financial records to ensure compliance with GAAP and local regulations.
- Process payroll for a small team of employees.
- Respond to client inquiries regarding account balances and transactions.
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in general accounting or bookkeeping.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently.
