Responsibilities
- Manage daily bookkeeping operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual tax filings with external accountants.
- Maintain accurate general ledger records and ensure compliance with GAAP standards.
- Process payroll for a small team of employees with high attention to detail.
- Reconcile credit card statements and process expense reports efficiently.
- Provide financial reporting and ad-hoc analysis to support business decision-making.
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
- 3+ years of experience in general accounting or bookkeeping.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) and ERP systems.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Knowledge of US tax laws and regulations is a plus.
