Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the general ledger with accuracy and timeliness.
- Process accounts payable and receivable transactions efficiently.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts to ensure data integrity.
- Assist with the preparation of local and federal tax filings.
- Support the month-end and year-end close processes.
- Provide ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting to management.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and internal policies.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Bachelor's degree preferred).
- 1-3 years of accounting experience, preferably in a small business or CPA firm setting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and basic tax regulations.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a part-time capacity.
