We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Part-Time Accountant to join our finance team in Milwaukee, WI. Responsibilities
- Manage daily bookkeeping operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card statements monthly to ensure accuracy.
- Prepare and process monthly payroll for small to mid-sized client accounts.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in QuickBooks or Xero.
- Assist with year-end tax preparation and filing requirements.
- Perform general ledger functions and assist with budget preparation.
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in bookkeeping or general accounting.
- Proficiency with accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero) is required.
- Strong working knowledge of GAAP and generally accepted accounting principles.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to meet tight deadlines and work independently.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
