Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring accurate recording of financial transactions and account balances.
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements, to support decision-making.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts on a monthly basis to ensure data accuracy.
- Process accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and accurate invoicing.
- Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual tax filings and required government reporting.
- Maintain and organize financial records and supporting documentation in compliance with GAAP and company policies.
- Collaborate with the finance team to improve internal controls and streamline accounting processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping (Part-time experience considered).
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) and strong Microsoft Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Attention to detail with the ability to detect errors and discrepancies in financial data.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for reporting and team collaboration.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while meeting strict deadlines.
