Responsibilities
- Manage daily bookkeeping tasks, including accurate processing of accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements, ledgers, and general ledger reports on a monthly basis.
- Reconcile bank accounts and credit card statements to ensure data accuracy.
- Assist with the preparation of quarterly and annual tax filings and statutory reports.
- Process payroll for a small team of employees with strict adherence to deadlines.
- Assist with budget preparation and expense tracking for various client projects.
- Provide exceptional customer service to clients regarding their account inquiries.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 1-3 years of experience in general accounting or bookkeeping is preferred.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, Xero, or similar accounting software is required.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
