Core Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts on a monthly basis to ensure accuracy.
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial reports, ledgers, and general budgets.
- Assist with the preparation and filing of monthly, quarterly, and annual tax returns.
- Ensure strict compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations.
- Process payroll data and prepare necessary deductions or garnishments.
- Perform ad-hoc financial analysis and expense tracking as requested by management.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in general accounting or bookkeeping.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) and Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to meet strict deadlines and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for occasional office visits.
