Responsibilities
- Manage the full-cycle bookkeeping process, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger reconciliation.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts monthly to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Prepare and post journal entries, adjusting entries, and accruals as required.
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports, including P&L statements and balance sheets, for management review.
- Process payroll and ensure all tax filings are completed accurately and on time.
- Collaborate with external auditors and tax preparers during year-end audits.
- Maintain and organize physical and digital financial records.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years of professional bookkeeping experience.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Sage) and Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Bachelor's degree preferred).
- Strong understanding of GAAP and basic tax regulations.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to communicate complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
