Responsibilities
- Manage and reconcile accounts payable/receivable for diverse portfolio
- Prepare monthly financial statements and variance analysis
- Process payroll and ensure compliance with tax regulations
- Assist with month-end closing procedures and audits
- Maintain accurate general ledger and supporting documentation
- Implement process improvements for financial workflows
- Support budget preparation and forecasting activities
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (required)
- 3+ years of accounting experience (public/private sector)
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and accounting software
- CPA or actively pursuing certification (preferred)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Virginia Beach-based or willing to relocate locally
