As a Part-Time Accountant, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial health of our clients. We are looking for someone who thrives on accuracy and enjoys the challenge of complex financial data.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily bookkeeping operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts monthly to ensure accuracy.
- Prepare and maintain general ledger accounts and financial reports.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Process payroll and manage payroll tax filings for assigned clients.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and tax schedules.
- Communicate effectively with clients regarding their financial status and inquiries.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Bachelor's degree preferred).
- 1-3 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience (Part-time or full-time).
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online, Xero, or similar accounting software.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
- Understanding of GAAP and basic tax preparation principles.
- Must be self-motivated and able to manage time effectively in a remote or hybrid setting.
- Must reside in or around Nashville, TN.
