Responsibilities
- Manage and reconcile client accounts, ensuring accurate financial record-keeping
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements including balance sheets and income statements
- Assist with tax preparation and compliance documentation for individual and business clients
- Conduct variance analysis and financial reporting to identify trends and opportunities
- Maintain and update accounting databases with precision and attention to detail
- Collaborate with senior accountants to optimize financial processes and controls
- Support audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
- 3+ years of professional accounting experience with public or private sector exposure
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, Xero, and advanced Microsoft Excel functions
- CPA certification or active pursuit preferred
- Strong understanding of GAAP and tax regulations (California-specific knowledge a plus)
- Exceptional analytical skills with ability to interpret complex financial data
- Proven ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment
