Responsibilities
- Manage Accounts: Oversee day-to-day bookkeeping operations, including accounts payable and receivable.
- Reconciliation: Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations to ensure accuracy.
- Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation and analysis of monthly financial statements and reports.
- Payroll Support: Process payroll for a small team, ensuring all tax deductions and benefits are calculated correctly.
- Compliance: Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with federal and state financial regulations.
- Tax Preparation: Support the tax team during quarterly and annual tax filing seasons.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of accounting experience.
- Software: Proficiency in QuickBooks, Xero, or similar accounting software is required.
- Excel: Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, v-lookups) is a plus.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional ability to spot errors and maintain data integrity.
