Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate general ledger accounts and reconcile monthly bank statements
- Process accounts payable/receivable with attention to payment cycles and vendor/client relationships
- Prepare monthly financial statements and management reports with clear variance analysis
- Assist with quarterly tax filings and annual audits ensuring compliance with GAAP
- Support budget development processes and monitor departmental spending
- Implement and improve internal financial controls and reporting systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on financial planning initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred)
- 3+ years of hands-on accounting experience with QuickBooks proficiency
- Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and financial modeling
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and Florida tax regulations
- Proven ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Exceptional attention to detail and analytical problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Experience with ERP systems (Sage 100 or NetSuite a plus)
