Responsibilities
- Manage daily bookkeeping operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable, with precision and timeliness.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.
- Process payroll for night shift staff and ensure all tax withholdings and deductions are calculated correctly.
- Prepare and maintain financial records, journals, and ledgers in compliance with GAAP standards.
- Assist in the month-end and year-end closing processes, including the preparation of financial reports.
- Utilize accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) to input data and generate necessary financial statements.
- Communicate with vendors and clients regarding billing inquiries and payment status.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2-3 years of professional bookkeeping experience.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables required).
- Strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and reconciliation processes.
- Experience with payroll processing is highly preferred.
- High attention to detail and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
