Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements with variance commentary
- Manage month-end and year-end closing processes including reconciliations
- Lead audit coordination and compliance documentation for 50+ clients
- Develop and implement internal controls to ensure SOX compliance
- Provide expert tax planning and preparation services for diverse industries
- Mentor junior accountants while maintaining portfolio growth targets
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years public accounting experience with Big 4 or mid-tier firm
- Expertise in GAAP, SOX compliance, and multi-state tax regulations
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, SAP, and Excel (VBA a plus)
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail in financial reporting
- Texas CPA license active in good standing
