Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports for 15+ portfolio companies
- Manage complex month-end and year-end closing processes with strict deadlines
- Lead SOX compliance audits and internal control documentation
- Develop and implement automated financial reporting systems using QuickBooks Online and NetSuite
- Coordinate with external auditors and tax authorities to ensure regulatory compliance
- Mentor junior accountants and provide training on emerging accounting technologies
- Support M&A transactions through due diligence and post-merger integration accounting
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or active CPA candidate required
- 5+ years progressive accounting experience in public accounting or corporate finance
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, NetSuite, and Excel with VBA/macros
- Expert knowledge of GAAP, SOX, and California tax regulations
- Proven experience with multi-state entity compliance and consolidated reporting
- Strong analytical skills with ability to reconcile complex accounts
- Excellent communication skills for presenting financial insights to non-finance stakeholders
- Experience with SaaS accounting platforms and ERP implementation
