Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting including month-end close, journal entries, and financial statement preparation
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable processes and bank reconciliations
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, SOX, and tax regulations
- Develop and implement financial controls to safeguard company assets
- Analyze financial data to support strategic decision-making and forecasting
- Coordinate external audits and prepare supporting documentation
- Maintain accurate fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules
- Lead process improvement initiatives for accounting workflows
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance (CPA or CPA candidate strongly preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in corporate or public accounting
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, SAP, and Microsoft Excel
- Deep understanding of GAAP, tax regulations, and internal controls
- Proven ability to manage complex financial reporting and audits
- Exceptional analytical skills with attention to detail
- Strong communication skills for cross-departmental collaboration
- Experience with multi-state tax compliance and reporting
