Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements with GAAP compliance
- Manage general ledger operations, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close processes
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable cycles and implement process improvements for efficiency
- Conduct financial audits, risk assessments, and internal control evaluations
- Develop and maintain budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis reports
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on financial modeling and strategic planning
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with public/private sector exposure
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, SAP, and Microsoft Excel (including Power Query)
- Deep expertise in financial reporting, tax compliance, and audit procedures
- Strong analytical skills with ability to translate complex data into actionable insights
- Excellent communication skills for stakeholder presentations and client interactions
- Proven track record of process optimization and financial system implementations
